Emergency Response Update

3/23/20

The Mad River Valley Emergency Response Team has been working tirelessly and effectively to put into place volunteer efforts, services and communication to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic.

With well over 300 volunteers currently signed up, MRVERT is creating and implementing safety protocol for the various volunteer efforts that may be utilized.  We are working to ensure that meals will be available, there is safety for our vulnerable populations and that everyone can be served in a healthy and safe manner.  More details on the incredible efforts and planning for all  systems, regarding services, will be released in the next few days.  We stand ready to serve and have a multitude of people with us!

We have created a PSA to distribute though-out the area in order to better reach all populations.  The information follows the CDC guidelines and shares services and assistance contacts in our community.  Additionally, our MRV Emergency Response Facebook page has over 300 followers in 36 hours with our initial post reaching over 2,500 people.

We ask you to encourage your towns, listeners, readers, neighbors and everyone that you know and love to follow the advice of the Vermont Health Department and practice social distancing.

The Mad River Valley Emergency Response Management Team and volunteer coordinators are in continual contact with, and report to, the selectboards and towns of Waitsfield, Fayston, Moretown, Warren.
