Started back in 1947, the Warren Volunteer Fire Department manages a station in Warren Village and one at Sugarbush Resort’s Lincoln Peak base area.

The Warren  Fire Department (volunteer) has provided fire protection for the Town for the last 70 years.  Over the past five years, call volumes have ranged from 48-90 calls per year.  Warren  is a member of mutual aid systems Washington counties, working alongside Waitsfield, Moretown and Fayston Fire Departments.  To contact the Chief please email him at jcampbell@warrenvt.org.   All Fire burning permits are the Forest Fire Warden, Garrett Swann, 802-371-7472.

The fire service is ever changing and with that we continue to train and plan for every scenario.

The Warren Fire Department, Warren Department of Public Safety, Mad River Valley Ambulance Service, Vermont State Police and the Washington County Sheriff’s Department urge everyone to put up 911 addresses and insure they can be readily seen from the road so that they can assist 1st responders get to friends and neighbors in need.

Residents are encouraged to sign up for VT Alerts. VT Alerts is the state’s notification system for emergencies, Amber Alerts, weather, road conditions, and more has improved functionality, a new look, and a smartphone app. If you have signed up in the past you will need to re-register within the new system.

Residents are also encouraged to register their fire alarms if you have one. Registering your fire alarm is no cost to you. Please understand that this is in addition to registering your alarm with the Vermont State Police. The fire alarm registration form can be found by clicking here.
