In 1976, a group of Warren residents stuffed a Sugarbush gondola with items and buried it in the ground. On May 19th, we're digging it up. On September 12th, we're burying a new one. And we need your help with everything in between.Here's the plan:MAY 19: We dig up the gondola. The public is invited. We need volunteers for the day.MAY-JUNE: We clean, catalog, and figure out what survived 50 years underground.JULY 4TH: We show it to the town. Maybe at Blair Barn. Maybe on a parade float with the rusted-out gondola. Maybe both. We haven't decided yet and that's why we need you.SUMMER: We collect items from residents, businesses, and school kids for the new capsule. It's small (one or two oil drums, not a gondola this time) so we need to be creative about what goes in and how everyone gets to participate.SEPTEMBER 12: We seal it up and bury it for the next 50 years.What we need:People who can organize. People who can photograph. People who can build things. People with ideas about how to display weird stuff from 1976. People who want to help kids write letters to their future selves. People who know how to throw a good party. People who just want to be part of something fun.You don't need experience. You don't need to come to every meeting.
