The Justices of the Peace are elected for a two year terms, Warren has a five member board.

JP’s have the power to preform wedding. They assist in the running of Elections and are members of the Board of Civil Authority and Board of Abatement. (Board of Civil Authority holds hearings for tax payers who are contesting the assessment of property values and Board of Abatement hears testimony from tax payers who feel that they have been mistakenly taxed or penalized)  Justices of the Peace may also administer oaths and become Notary Publics.
