Press Release: Mad River Valley Emergency Response Team

Emergency Response Facebook Page

3/20/20

The Mad River Valley Emergency Response Team has created a Facebook page: MRV Emergency Response Page.  This page will serve to inform the community and connect them on the subjects of; healthcare, volunteer efforts, food services, emergency response, social services, AA meetings, domestic and sexual violence services, opioid dependency, mental health assistance, transportation and encouragement through this trying time.  The Facebook page for MRV Emergency Response will also be sharing resources from the Valley Reporter, Chamber of Commerce, Town and Selectboard announcements (Waitsfield, Fayston, Moretown and Warren), state officials and other area organizations.

The contributors, Anna Nasset (Public Information Officer) and Jessica Tompkins (Volunteer Coordinator) are working diligently and with fact checking practices, to provide the most up to date information during the COVID-19 pandemic.  The public can comment on the page and send messages.  Responses to questions, service needs and information will be sent often and put the person in need of assistance into contact with the correct resource channel.
